History and the Need:
One of our Founders, Jonni Cooper, with the assistance of a team of Cardiac
Monitor Technicians, developed standards of practice and a Cardiac Monitor
Technician’s EKG Exam in 2009.
Prior to these developments, there was no national standard with which to
measure the competency of a Cardiac Monitor Technician.
Cardiac Monitor Technicians traditionally have not been required to
demonstrate accountability for their high profile roles in cardiology and it is
high time for change. This
group of professionals are given a tremendous responsibility for monitoring the
rhythms of cardiac patients and therefore must be as proficient as the cardiac
nurses the work with. This exam
should set any employer at ease and help guide them with future study of their
Cardiac Monitor technicians.
Current EKG Exams Available:
1. Advanced EKG Physician Panel
Reader’s Exam
2. Emergency EKG Physician Exam
3. 12-Lead EKG for CCU Nurse’s and

4. Basic EKG for Telemetry & Chest
Pain Center Nurse’s Exam
